Continental Express, Inc. is Abbott Nutrition’s 2025 Truckload Provider of the Year. Continental leadership accepted their second consecutive Provider of the Year win at Abbott’s annual awards ceremony, held in Columbus, Ohio, on July 28th.
“We are grateful for a long-standing partnership with Abbott and their continued trust to deliver their products safely and on time. It’s an honor to again receive this award,” said Continental Express President Bradley Gottemoeller.
Abbott Laboratories is a global leader of healthcare solutions including pharmaceuticals and medical devices. The domestic operations of their nutrition division supply Americans with nourishing, life-sustaining products from infant formula to diabetic nutritional shakes.
At its annual awards ceremony, Abbott Nutrition gathers their top logistics partners in Columbus, Ohio to honor the excellence they saw in the previous year, looking at each carrier’s performance in flexibility, communication, innovation, sustainability, accountability, and professionalism.
Continental Express particularly demonstrated flexibility in 2025 by changing their available equipment to meet Abbott Nutrition’s evolving needs; replacing a portion of refrigerated trailers with dry vans throughout the year. The transition not only made for more efficient operations, but served as a cost-saving and sustainability measure.
“Winning Truckload Provider of the Year for the second consecutive year is not by chance. It is a daily, weekly, monthly repetition of the fundamentals throughout the entire organization,” said Grant Mitchell, Continental Express Director of Customer Relations.
The 2025 award is Continental Express’ 4th time overall being named Abbott Nutrition’s Truckload Provider of the Year, with previous wins in 2024, 2021, and 2020.
In 2023, Abbott presented Continental its Calvary Award, which highlighted Continental’s versatility in covering loads.
“Internally, our team talks about avoiding complacency; about not letting good enough be good enough,” said Gottemoeller. “It’s the mentality we ask our professional drivers, our office staff, and our shop team to bring to work every day, and they do. Our core values are safety, service, and communication, and the hard work of the whole Continental team to deliver excellence on each value is what has earned us this award.”
The never-settle mentality has not only led Continental Express to secure Abbott’s Truckload Provider of the Year award, but recent recognitions from other customers, including Tyson’s 2025 Rising Star Carrier of the Year and the titles of both the 2025 Overall Carrier of the Year and 2025 Outbound Carrier of the Year from Bud Antle, LLC (formerly Dole Fresh Vegetables).
Also in their fifth consecutive year as a Best Fleet to Drive For, Continental Express has 10 terminal locations and over 800 employees nationwide.
