Customer Service Associate

Continental Express, an asset based, truck load carrier is currently seeking a Customer Service Associate at its corporate office in Sidney. We are looking for a stable, reliable Customer Service Associate who above all pays attention to details and accuracy.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Communicates with customers electronically and via telephone to schedule freight pick-up and delivery appointments.
• Enters appropriate appointment times and other pertinent pick-up and delivery information in AS400 system.
• Checks appropriate customer sites/portals for load information.
• Calculates driving distances, approximates loading/unloading time when coordinating pick-up and delivery times.
• Answers telephone calls professionally and assists callers by providing necessary information or directing the caller to the necessary company contact.
• Performs other administrative duties as assigned by Operations Manager.

KNOWELDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Experience/knowledge in transportation/logistics preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent computer knowledge and skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with a team.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be reliable and flexible to work necessary schedule to meet work demands.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 or 4 year degree required.
• 1 year or more related experience in transportation, logistics, warehousing related field preferred.
