Night Shift Operations Manager

NIGHT/WEEKEND OPERATIONS MANAGER

Continental Express Inc., a full service transportation company that specializes in hauling refrigerated food products is currently seeking a Night/Weekend Operations Manager for its corporate office in Sidney, OH. We are seeking an aggressive, highly organized candidate to work in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide support and assistance to drivers via telephone or satellite communication system for route planning, load assignment clarification, payment authorizations, etc.
• Assist with load planning by assigning trucks to drivers, track deliveries, and plan next load for trucks.
• Communicate with customers electronically and via telephone with arrival updates or appointment changes.
• Work collaboratively with maintenance department to coordinate equipment breakdown/repair decisions.
• Assist and guide drivers with hours of service questions and problems
• Enter, edit and update appropriate information in AS400 computer system
• Professionally answer and handle incoming calls.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior managerial or leadership experience required
• Work well under pressure and have the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations and hours of service helpful
• Excellent computer knowledge and skill, especially with Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
